More from the trial
- At today's trial, AEG Live Co-CEO Paul Gongaware continued his testimony, and noted that Dr. Conrad Murray requested an astronomical salary for his medical services.
Gongaware says that Murray asked him to hire Murray, but that Murray wanted $5 million for his services, which Gongaware says was too much money. But Jackson really wanted Murray to get the job, so Murray talked again with Gongaware, and offered his services for $150,000 a month, which is what Jackson told Murray to do. Gongaware also stated that he was looking for any signs of drug use by Jackson, noting that he noticed a "slight slur" in Michael's speech during their interactions.
